“WE NEED TO ACT (BOLDLY), INNOVATE (BROADLY), AND IMPLEMENT (EQUITABLY). IT’S GOING TO TAKE ALL OF US. ALL IN. BUSINESSES, GOVERNMENTS AND CITIZENS – EVERYONE ACCOUNTED FOR AND EVERYONE ACCOUNTABLE. A PARTNERSHIP FOR THE PLANET.”

EARTH DAY, 2022

My Net Zero

My Net Zero sits at the intersection of Environmental Sustainability, and Employee Engagement - two of the major trends and challenges for this decade. We provide employers with the consulting advice and tech platform to translate, connect and implement the intent that sits within its Sustainability Plan into tangible action from all stakeholders (employees, consumers, students, members), including:

The consulting advice to connect employees to the environmental vision and mission of the organisation and to build an Employee Climate Action Plan.

A tech platform and solutions to deliver on the Climate Action Plan, enabling employees to build their own personalised Roadmaps to Net Zero with the support of the organisation.

A marketplace to support the actions within these Roadmaps.

An innovative scheme to help offset employees home emissions through the organisations support and the LGC market.

The aggregated data back to the organisation to:

Authentic, Impact Driven Actions Are Important For All Stakeholders

INVESTOR

Investors are using ESG in a variety of ways, such as screening out poor performers and risky investments, identifying high performers, and urging companies to embrace sustainable, responsible business practices. According to Bloomberg, global ESG assets are on track to exceed $53 trillion by 2025, representing more than a third of the $140.5 trillion in projected total assets under management (AUM).

LEADERSHIP

Risk - Most directors (77%) are concerned about climate change risk to the organisation, with nearly one quarter (22%) ‘extremely’ concerned

Opportunity - Half (51 %) also see opportunities from proactive responses to climate change.

EMPLOYEE

83% of employees would be more loyal to a company that helps them contribute to a social or environmental issue (v’s average).

88% say their job is more fulfilling when they can make a positive impact on issues (v’s average).

CONSUMER

90% of consumers will switch brands to support a good cause, and boycott a brand due to irresponsible business practices.

Brands with a demonstrated commitment to sustainability saw average sales growth outperform that of brands without demonstrated commitment by fourfold.

“We must unearth the motivations that people need to take action, and catalyse everyone to be part of the solution. Corporate and Government cannot do it alone. But working together across the sectors we will find our way to a sustainable future. I am extremely excited to see My Net Zero come to life, helping to accelerate our collective progress in our fight against climate change."

THE PEOPLE’S AGREEMENT

About The Founder

I am a very proud Dad. With four amazing kids, life is full and fun, challenging and rewarding in equal measures!

My passion is to use my marketing, commercial and stakeholder engagement expertise to build products, services or experiences that are commercially viable, and have a positive impact on the world.

My 21 year marketing career has revolved around driving emotions in people to elicit positive actions. From this perspective, I co-wrote the bid to bring the Invictus Games to Australia, alongside Deloitte, working together to built the Organising Committee required to deliver the Games. My role focused on crafting the cross sector collaborations between Corporate, Government, NFP and Community to make it the success it was, and continues to be. As Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer I mobilised the team to raise the $32m required to deliver the Games, and built a brand that was largely unknown in this country to 83% awareness. I was recognised in the CMO50 in 2018.

Now greater challenges are afoot. But with my experience, corporate and government networks and passion, not to mention the active support of my wife and children, My Net Zero is the next horizon.
